SACHS Performance Clutch Disc - Organic, Rigid Design

Clutch discs are subject to heavy loads and are complex components with a compact design. In addition to transmitting torque, they fulfill additional tasks such as damping torsional vibrations, providing good operating comfort, and high heat resistance. Rigid clutch discs have fewer components than the sprung version and are less prone to failure at the limit, while offering higher torque transmission capabilities.

Technology

The SACHS Performance clutch disc 881864.001707 with organic lining has a higher thermal load capacity, is more resistant to high speeds, and has a higher coefficient of friction than conventional organic linings. It also allows for the transmission of higher torques. Combined with the SACHS Performance clutch pressure plate, you get the ideal clutch for higher demands and the ambitious sporty driver.

The sprung lining suspension improves start-up comfort and ensures even lining support. Lining springs are wavy segments of the spring plate with a spring travel of up to approx. 1 mm, which are riveted to the clutch disc carrier plate on the gearbox side. In the case of high-performance SACHS Performance clutch discs, this lining suspension is sometimes omitted in favor of higher transmittable torque compared to the standard clutch disc.
