Aluminum clutch kit enabling the connection (swap / conversion) of Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ engines (GE GTE VVT-i and non VVT-i versions) with a manual ZF gearbox (ZF Friedrichshafen) gearbox from BMW. 

Each PMC Motorsport flywheel is checked and balanced before shipment, the kit includes all necessary mounting bolts.

 

Manual Transmission ZF Friedrichshafen GS5-39DZ 5-speed (S5-39DZ), due to its high durability (1000Nm+) and low price, is an ideal solution for motorsport-prepped cars.

Are you increasing power or looking to switch from manual to automatic transmission? With the PMC Motorsport adapter, it's no problem. The gearbox adapter is designed to easily facilitate transitions, such as upgrading from a 5-speed to a 6-speed or from a manual to an automatic 8HP or DCT DKG transmission. Simply change the flywheel or converter adapter, and the gearbox adapter remains the same.

Manual

 

!! PMC Motorsport parts are intended for motorsport use on racetracks. Parts are to be installed by professionals using appropriate tools in suitable workshops !!!

The installation manual includes a basic diagram for mounting the engine with the gearbox outside the vehicle.

The gearbox adapter and flywheel are made of aluminum and cast iron and are fully recyclable.

Parts we used during the design and test assembly process (recommended):

 

Engine: Toyota 2JZ-GTE

Gearbox: ZF GS5-39DZ

Ring gear / flywheel: Toyota OE 32101-22050 + Toyota OE 32116-22020

Starter: Toyota 2JZ-GTE OE

 

Clutch master cylinder: BMW OE 21 52 6 773 670

Slave cylinder: Brembo E06003

Clutch kit : 

Clutch pressure plate : Tilton OT-II Cerametallic 7.25" 66-302 HGG / clutch disc : Tilton 64185-4-VV-52

You should use the flywheel / ring gear from the automatic version of the Toyota 1JZ 2JZ, along with one spacer (OE 32116-22020 4.5mm) between the engine block and the ring gear (not inc.)

The starter remains OE Toyota 1JZ 2JZ (one mounting hole needs to be enlarged and a threaded insert included in the kit needs to be installed).

Remove the bearing from the crankshaft hub (automatic version JZ) and replace it with a centering sleeve from the kit.

The bearing and clutch release fork remain from the existing gearbox. If you have a bearing with two height positions, use the 24mm position.

Use a 184mm /7.25" clutch disc that fits your gearbox.

Replace the original spherical pin (pivot pin) with the custom one from the kit.

The installation may require preparing space for the starter in the gearbox (cutting or grinding the gearbox bell housing).
