The adapter installation manual contains only basic knowledge necessary for the physical connection of the engine with the gearbox outside the car body.
Depending on the car, additional modifications may occur, such as: fitting mounts, bushings, engine firewall, gearbox tunnel, driveshaft length, etc.

1. How to connect a ZF 8HP converter with a BMW M57D30 306 D1 3.0D engine (iron block, small bellhousing)?
To connect the BMW M57D30 306 D1 3.0D (iron block, small bellhousing) engine with a ZF 8HP automatic gearbox converter from a BMW (inline engine version), you must use the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter and an OE flexplate (BMW OE 11 22 8 506 670 / 11 22 8506670 / OE 11 22 8 612 144 / 11 22 8612144 (not included)) along with the converter from your 8HP 6-bolt gearbox. No additional converter adapter is needed.
2. Which starter motor should be used for the ZF 8HP conversion with the BMW M57D30 306 D1 3.0D engine (iron block, small bellhousing)?
Thanks to the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter, there is no need to replace the starter; the OE starter from the BMW M57D30 306 D1 3.0D (iron block, small bellhousing) remains (grinding of the starter housing is required).
3. Which flywheel should be used for connection with the GS6 manual gearbox?
To connect the BMW M57 306D1 engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox, a custom flywheel must be used (not available in the PMC offer).
