Aluminum adapter enabling connection (swap / conversion) of the BMW V8 M60 M62 S62 engine with a manual or automatic ZF (ZF Friedrichshafen) / Getrag gearbox from BMW. The adapter supports both very popular manual gearboxes such as: ZF 5, GS5-39DZ, GS6-53DZ/BZ, Getrag 420G and modern Getrag DCT DKG double-clutch automatic gearboxes.

PMC Motorsport parts are designed for motorsport. For use on racetracks

Parts intended for installation by professionals with knowledge of engine SWAPs and car modifications - in workshops and using tools appropriately adapted for this purpose.

The adapter installation instructions contain only the basic knowledge necessary to physically connect the engine with the gearbox outside the car body.

Depending on your car, there may be additional modifications such as: adjustment of mounts, cushions and engine bulkhead, gearbox tunnel, drive shaft length, etc.

We make adapters from fully recyclable materials.

!!! The gearbox adapter requires the use of a custom flywheel!!!

If after screwing the M57 GS5-39DZ / or ZF5 M50-M54 gearbox (including GETRAG 420G) at an angle, the assembly should be corrected, the petrol gearbox was screwed in place of the diesel gearbox or vice versa (the gearboxes have the same screw spacing, but the angle on the adapter differs).

I am looking at using one of your M60/M62 to BMW ZF transmission adapter plates with a ZF S5D 320Z gearbox from an E36 328i. Before purchasing, I would like to confirm the following: 1. Is the adapter plate fully compatible with an M60B40 and ZF S5D 320Z from an E36 328i? 2. Does the adapter plate correctly position the gearbox input shaft, or are any modifications required to the input shaft or gearbox? 3. What pilot bearing solution is required? 4. What flywheel is required for this conversion? * OEM BMW flywheel? * Custom flywheel? * Specific aftermarket flywheel? 5. What clutch kit is required? * Disc diameter * Pressure plate * Release bearing specification 6. Does the adapter retain the factory M60 starter motor location? * If not, what starter arrangement is required? 7.
