The flywheel was produced from aluminum and cast iron and is fully recyclable.
! Custom flywheel requires the use of a ring gear / flywheel from a Toyota JZ automatic - not included in the set!

FAQ
1. What starter should be used with the PMC Motorsport Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW adapter?
For adapter installation, use a Toyota JZ starter without an additional pinion cover. Depending on the version of the Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW adapter you have, there are three ways to install the starter:
a) Adapters produced until 2022 - The starter is mounted identically to the original equipment (OE).
b) Adapters produced from 2022 to 2025 - One of the starter mounting holes in the engine block must be enlarged. The hole should be drilled to a diameter of ∅12.9-13.2 mm (0.507"-0.520") to a depth of 22 mm (0.866"). Then, use the sleeve from the AN 335-M10 set and fasten with an ISO4762-M10x35 screw.
c) Adapters produced from January 2025 - The lower mounting hole in the starter should be enlarged to a diameter of ∅12-13 mm and the engine block threaded to M12x1.5.
2. What ring gear should be used for the PMC Motorsport Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW flywheel?
When installing the PMC Motorsport Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW flywheel, use a ring gear (flywheel) from the automatic version of Toyota 1JZ / 2JZ (OE number: 32101-30090 | 32101-22050) and one Toyota spacer washer (OE number: 32116-22020) with a thickness of 4.5 mm between the engine block and the ring gear.
3. Can I use the gearbox adapter for a 6-speed GS6-53DZ / GS6-53BZ gearbox?
Yes, the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter itself is universal and fits most BMW gearboxes available on the market (applies to adapters produced after 2022). If you want to change the gearbox, simply replace the flywheel and clutch disc.
4. Can I use the PMC Motorsport Toyota 1JZ 2JZ - BMW gearbox adapter for ZF 8HP?
Yes, the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter itself is universal and fits most BMW gearboxes available on the market (applies to adapters produced after 2022). If you want to change to an automatic ZF 8HP gearbox, you should replace the standard flywheel with an 8HP converter adapter (PMC Motorsport).
5. What clutch can I use with the PMC Motorsport flywheel?
The Toyota 1JZ 2JZ - BMW flywheel is designed for a clutch pressure plate from BMW M57 / M57N / M57N2 / N54 / B58 / BMW E46 M3 / Sachs Performance 883082.001243. Clutches from companies like ACT / Spec / Tanaci are very often used with our kit (it is important that the custom clutch pressure plate also fits the BMW OE flywheel: BMW M57 / M57N / M57N2 / N54 / B58). For your gearbox, you should use a clutch disc with the appropriate splines, a dedicated release bearing kit, and a slave cylinder.
