The aluminum gearbox adapter plate was designed to simplify the installation of the ZF 8HP transmission as much as possible. Connecting the engine to the torque converter uses original parts – no additional torque converter adapter plate is needed.

Installation should be carried out by professionals with knowledge in engine swaps and car modifications – in workshops and using properly adapted tools.
The adapter installation manual contains only basic knowledge necessary to physically connect the engine with the gearbox outside the car body.
Depending on your specific car, additional modifications may be required, such as adjusting mounts, engine/gearbox mounts, firewall, transmission tunnel, driveshaft length, etc.
We manufacture our adapters using fully recyclable materials.
Installation instructions
To connect the BMW M47 / M47N engine with the ZF 8HP gearbox, use the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter plate and the original (OE) starter ring gear (flexplate) from the automatic version, together with the torque converter from your ZF 8HP gearbox. No additional torque converter adapter plate is needed.
For installation, use the original BMW M47 / M47N starter motor (not included in the kit).
