Purpose-built for compatible VWAG (Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen) vehicles equipped with the 1.8T Turbo engine, the G4X TTX Plug-In ECU (208-4000) is designed to fit directly into the factory ECU location using the original mounting points, wiring harness and connectors. For vehicles with confirmed compatibility, installation requires no modifications to the original engine wiring harness. Most factory functions are supported, depending on the vehicle and configuration. The ECU includes a base map that must be checked and calibrated for the specific engine before the vehicle is put into operation. This solution provides a clean and reliable installation while maintaining the factory appearance of the wiring.
Link G4X Plug-In ECUs use the same processor, firmware, configuration software and standard G4X feature set available across the entire range. Features include dual CAN buses, Flex Fuel support, flexible engine protection limiters, CAN keypad control, open-loop and closed-loop boost control, dual closed-loop lambda control, VVT control, a built-in trigger oscilloscope, compatibility with aftermarket displays, direct automatic transmission control and 512 MB of built-in data logging memory. The ECU also features an internal MAP sensor.
Automatic transmission compatibility: The ability to control an automatic transmission depends on the specific application and may require additional wiring and configuration. This does not imply Plug-In compatibility with vehicles originally equipped with an automatic transmission. The TTX ECU is intended as a direct Plug-In replacement only for compatible manual transmission applications.
Based on Link's championship-winning G4X motorsport platform, the TTX ECU also supports advanced tuning and motorsport features such as Nitrous Control, Launch Control, Anti-Lag, Cruise Control, Traction Control, Race Time and Power Management, Gear Shift Control and Paddle Shift Control. The availability and use of individual features depend on the vehicle, wiring and ECU configuration.
The Link Plug-In ECU is an ideal solution for compatible vehicles with electrical systems in good condition. It provides modern engine management without the need for the extensive wiring associated with Wire-In ECUs. ECU configuration and tuning are performed using LINK PCLink software.
Supported Models
The TTX ECU is designed for compatible PQ34-platform VWAG vehicles equipped with the 1.8T Turbo engine. Examples of confirmed applications include:
- Audi TT with AJQ engine, 1999-2002.
- Volkswagen New Beetle with AWU engine, 2005.
- Volkswagen Passat, 2000.
- Volkswagen Golf with AUM engine, 2001.

The following vehicles may also work with the TTX ECU, but compatibility has not been confirmed for all models, engine codes and factory ECU configurations:

Important: Inclusion of a vehicle in the above list does not guarantee compatibility with the ECU. Compatibility depends on the engine code, ECU connector arrangement, transmission type, drivetrain and original electrical system configuration. Before purchasing the ECU for a vehicle with unconfirmed compatibility, contact Link ECU technical support or an authorised Link ECU distributor to verify compatibility.
Important Installation Information
- Before purchasing, check that your vehicle's ECU connector matches the connector shown in the product images.
- The ECU is intended for Plug-In installation only in compatible vehicles with a manual transmission.
- Vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission are not covered by the stated Plug-In compatibility. Any potential application involving automatic transmission control requires individual verification.
- The factory ECU connector arrangement must consist of two connectors with a total of 121 pins.
- The vehicle must be equipped with a 1.8T Turbo engine.
- The drivetrain must be front-wheel drive (FWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) using the Haldex system.
- The ECU features built-in E-Throttle (Drive-By-Wire) control.
- The unit features a built-in MAP sensor.
- Most factory functions are supported, depending on the vehicle and ECU configuration.
- The included base map is an initial configuration, not a ready-to-use engine calibration. Before starting the engine, all relevant settings, wiring assignments and calibrations must be checked and verified.
