Aluminum adapter plate enabling the connection (swap / conversion) of the Saab H (B204, B205, B234, B235) engine with a manual ZF (ZF Friedrichshafen) / Getrag gearbox from BMW. The aluminum gearbox adapter plate was designed to simplify gearbox installation as much as possible, avoiding radical steps like cutting off the entire bellhousing – only the starter motor clearance needs to be prepared. The adapter requires a custom PMC Motorsport flywheel matched to the chosen gearbox (sold separately).

PMC Motorsport parts are intended for motorsport and race track use.
Installation should be carried out by professionals with knowledge in engine swaps and car modifications – in workshops and using properly adapted tools.
The adapter installation manual contains only basic knowledge necessary to physically connect the engine with the gearbox outside the car body.
Depending on your specific car, additional modifications may be required, such as adjusting mounts, engine/gearbox mounts, firewall, transmission tunnel, driveshaft length, etc.
We manufacture our adapters using fully recyclable materials.
Installation instructions
The gearbox adapter requires a custom PMC Motorsport flywheel matched to the chosen gearbox (not included in the kit).
The adapter fits Saab H engines with engine block plate part number Saab OE 55557715.
Gearboxes for petrol engines (ZF-5 and Getrag 250G / 420G) and diesel engines (M57 GS5-39DZ) share the same bolt pattern, but differ in mounting angle on the adapter. If after tightening the gearbox is set at the wrong angle, the installation must be corrected – the petrol gearbox was bolted into the diesel gearbox position or vice versa.

Which gearboxes fit the adapter?
For manual gearboxes from petrol engines: ZF-5 (ZF 310 / ZF 320), Getrag S5D-250G, Getrag 420G (E36 M3 / E46 M3), and GS6-37BZ (M54), and from diesel engines: ZF S5D-280Z, GS5-39DZ, GS6-37DZ, and GS6-53DZ HGA / HGB (E46 330d). Is a flywheel included in the kit?
No. The adapter requires a custom PMC Motorsport flywheel selected for your chosen gearbox, available separately.
Do I need to cut the gearbox bellhousing?
No. The adapter was designed to avoid cutting the bellhousing – you only need to prepare the clearance hole for the starter motor.
The gearbox is at the wrong angle after tightening – what to do?
Petrol gearboxes (ZF-5 and Getrag 250G / 420G) and diesel gearboxes (M57 GS5-39DZ) share the same bolt pattern, but differ in mounting angle on the adapter. If the gearbox is at the wrong angle, it was bolted into holes intended for the other type – the installation needs to be corrected.
Which starter motor should be used?
Saab H OE starter motor. The starter motor is not included in the kit.
Does the price include customs duty for shipments outside the European Union?
No. The product price and shipping estimate do not include customs duties or additional fees that may apply in the recipient's country.
Can I buy with 0% VAT?

The instructions describe connecting the engine to the gearbox outside the car body. Depending on the vehicle, additional modifications may be required: mounts, bushings, firewall, gearbox tunnel, driveshaft length. We recommend installation by professionals.
