Installation Instructions

For flywheel installation, it is required to use the automatic flexplate / starter ring gear Toyota / Lexus OE 32101-50010 and a 4.5 mm spacer washer between the engine block and flexplate, Toyota OE 32116-50010 (not included). Torque the flywheel to the crankshaft using the supplied bolts to 72 Nm (53.1 lb⋅ft) with threadlocker. Install the clutch release fork (dedicated to your transmission) in the lower release bearing position (in case of a two-position bearing). For adapter installation, use an original Toyota UZ starter motor (OE).

Is the kit suitable for a daily driver?

The Race Stage 1 kit with a sintered disc is primarily intended for motorsport – the clutch operates firmer and less smoothly than an organic disc. For a daily driven car, we recommend the Stage 1 kit with the Sachs XTend clutch.

Can I use a different clutch?

Yes. The PMC Motorsport flywheel is designed for 240 mm BMW OE style pressure plates – from BMW M57 / M57N / M57N2 / N54 / B58 / E46 M3 or Sachs Performance 883082.001243. ACT / Spec / Tanaci clutches are also commonly used – custom pressure plates must fit BMW OE flywheels (M57 / M57N / M57N2 / N54 / B58).
