Aluminum adapter enabling the connection of inline 6-cylinder BMW M50, M52, M54, S50, S52, and S54 engines with the 6-speed manual gearbox ZF GS6-53DZ / GS6X53DZ originating from BMW diesel engines M57N / M57N2, N57, and N47 (e.g. E60 530d, E9x 330d, F10 530d, E8x 123d). The engine remains in the standard factory mounting position.

The aluminum gearbox adapter has been designed to simplify gearbox installation as much as possible, avoiding radical actions such as cutting off the entire bellhousing – only preparing the starter motor hole remains. Adapter thickness: 15 mm (0.59"). The adapter requires the use of a custom PMC Motorsport flywheel matched to the selected gearbox (sold separately).

PMC Motorsport parts are intended for motorsport, for track use.
Installation should be performed by professionals with knowledge of engine swaps and car modifications – in workshops and using properly adapted tools.
Assembly instructions for the adapter contain only basic knowledge necessary to physically connect the engine to the gearbox outside the car body.
Depending on the specific car, additional modifications may be required, such as adjusting mounts, engine mounts/bushings, firewall, gearbox tunnel, driveshaft length, etc.
We make adapters from 100% recyclable materials.
Installation instructions
The gearbox adapter must first be mounted on the engine, and then the engine is connected to the gearbox. The adapter requires the use of a custom PMC Motorsport flywheel matched to the GS6-53DZ gearbox (not included). Use a BMW OE starter motor for installation (not included).

Is a version for upright engine mounting available?
Yes. In our offer we also have the BMW M50 M52 M54 S50 S52 S54 – GS6-53DZ adapter in an upright version (0°), which positions the engine vertically relative to the gearbox – useful, among other things, in swaps into other chassis.

Which gearboxes fit the adapter?

Is a flywheel included in the kit?
No. The adapter requires the use of a custom PMC Motorsport flywheel matched to the GS6-53DZ gearbox, available separately.
Do I need to cut the gearbox bellhousing?
No. The adapter is designed to avoid cutting the bellhousing – only the starter motor opening needs to be prepared.
Which starter motor should be used?
BMW OE starter motor. Starter motor is not included in the kit.
What does the kit include?
Aluminum gearbox adapter (thickness 15 mm / 0.59"), bolts for adapter installation, and dowel pins.
Does the price include customs duties for shipping outside the European Union?
No. The product price and shipping quote do not include customs duties or additional fees that may apply in the recipient's country.
