Clutch Pressure Plate / Reinforced Clutch Pressure Plate SACHS Performance 883082.999778 for VW / Audi / Skoda / SEAT 1.8T
Clutch pressure plate / Reinforced clutch pressure plate SACHS Performance
The SACHS Performance 883082.999778 clutch pressure plate is distinguished from the standard pressure plate by, among other things, higher transmittable torque and greater resistance to shear loads. Depending on requirements, they are used with various clutch discs.
Thanks to the shorter release travel, faster, sportier shifting is possible. This makes the Performance clutch particularly suitable for use in street tuning, in long-distance and hill-climb racing (e.g., Group N), and in vehicles frequently driven at maximum load.
PERFORMANCE FEATURES
Higher transmittable torque
Greater clamping force
Shorter stroke
Easy replacement of the standard pressure plate
TECHNOLOGY
The SACHS Performance 883082.999778 clutch pressure plate for VAG 1.9 TDI is permanently bolted to the flywheel and, in the engaged state, transmits the engine torque through the housing, tangential diaphragm springs, and the pressure plate to the clutch disc. The decisive factors for the design of the Audi clutch pressure plate are the thermal capacity of the pressure plate and the clamping and release force of the diaphragm spring.
This spring axially presses the sliding pressure plate against the clutch disc and the flywheel when engaged. The SACHS Performance pressure plate diaphragm spring provides high transmittable engine torque thanks to its shape, material, and sport-tuned characteristics.
The clutch is one of the most heavily loaded components in the drivetrain. Even after thousands of clutch operations, the spring must continue to function reliably, even though the force and travel ratios change in every vehicle due to systematic wear of the clutch lining.
