The lower inertia of a lightweight flywheel results in a significantly better and faster throttle response, which improves the car's acceleration. Although it does not increase engine power, it reduces drivetrain losses, translating into slightly higher power at the wheels. Lightweight flywheels perform exceptionally well on twisty tracks, as the car regains speed lost in corners much faster. Flywheel checked and balanced before shipping.

It is worth noting that a lightweight flywheel provides uncompromising throttle response at the expense of eliminating factory dampening elements. This translates into a more direct operation of the drivetrain, which may result in a natural increase in the audibility of the gearbox mechanisms. This is a desirable characteristic in sports vehicles, resulting from the rigid connection between the engine and the drive.
