Purpose-built for the Toyota JZX90 with the 1JZ-GTE non-VVT-i engine, the Link G4X JZX90X Plug-In ECU is designed to fit directly into the factory ECU location using the original mounting points, wiring loom and connectors. For confirmed compatible applications, installation does not require modification of the original engine wiring harness or additional adapter looms. Most factory features are supported, depending on the vehicle and ECU configuration. The ECU includes a startup map that must be checked and calibrated for the specific engine before operation. The result is a clean, reliable installation that maintains a factory appearance while providing modern engine management capabilities.
Link G4X Plug-In ECUs share the same processor, firmware, software and standard G4X feature set found throughout the G4X range. Features include Dual CAN Bus, Flex Fuel, Flexible Engine Protection Limiters, CAN Keypad Control, Open and Closed Loop Boost Control, Dual Closed Loop Lambda, VVT Control, a built-in Trigger Oscilloscope, compatibility with aftermarket displays, Direct Automatic Transmission Control and 512MB of onboard data logging. The ECU also features a built-in MAP sensor.
Automatic Transmission Compatibility: The JZX90X is designed for Plug-In installation in compatible manual-transmission vehicles. Although Direct Automatic Transmission Control is a supported G4X software feature, it does not automatically provide Plug-In compatibility with factory automatic-transmission vehicles. Automatic transmission applications require individual compatibility assessment and may need additional wiring and ECU configuration. Please contact an official Link ECU reseller before purchasing for an automatic-transmission vehicle.

A Link Plug-In ECU is an ideal solution when available for your vehicle and the original wiring remains in good condition, providing modern engine management without the complexity of a complete wire-in installation. The ECU is configured and tuned using LINK PCLink software.
Models Supported
The Link G4X JZX90X Plug-In ECU is designed for the following Toyota applications equipped with the 1JZ-GTE non-VVT-i engine:
- Toyota Chaser X90 with 1JZ-GTE non-VVT-i engine.
- Toyota Mark II X90 with 1JZ-GTE non-VVT-i engine.
- Toyota Cresta X90 with 1JZ-GTE non-VVT-i engine.

- The supplied startup map is an initial configuration, not a completed engine tune. All relevant settings, wiring assignments and calibrations must be checked and verified before engine operation.
CAN Connection Information
This Plug-In ECU features a new 4-pin powered CAN connector and cannot use the older CANPCB cable for CAN communication. To connect external CAN devices, use the CANJST4 cable (Code: 101-0198).
The new 4-pin CAN connector and CANJST4 cable provide CAN communication together with a protected 12V power supply and ground connection for compatible CAN devices. The power supply is protected by a self-resetting fuse rated at 3A continuous.
